We here at MyCivic Apps are happy to report that the app for the City of Norco has gone live! As of November 30, 2016, the residents of Horsetown, U.S.A. are able to download the app for their city from the app stores. With enhanced GIS mapping of all the local horse trails, riders can identify locations and routes of trails as well as their own current location on a trail at any given time. Exciting features of the app include access to city news and social media posts, access to Norco’s full business directory, and the ability to view and save calendar alerts. Citizens can easily contact city officials and departments through the app as well as report issues within their community using the app’s Report An Issue module. The residents and visitors of Norco can now connect and engage with their city like never before!
Being a company whose focus is on technology and advancement for the good of our communities, we are very impressed with the City of Norco’s use of social media to inform and engage its citizens in the lead-up to the launch of the app. In the days preceding the launch, the city consistently posted reminders of the impending release of the app along with highlights of each of the features that the app offers. We are so happy to work with a city that embraced this project so completely, and that is as excited about it as we are, knowing how beneficial it will be to its citizens and employees. The citizens of Norco have one more reason to be proud of their community: they live in a city that cares!
